Autumn Personal Development Groups

One of the things that many students say as they come to the end of the COSCA Counselling Skills Certificate course is that they will miss the personal development and growth that comes from the work of the whole group space.

In response to this, we decided to run two separate Spring Personal Development Groups in which we are facilitating open and supportive spaces in which we can encounter the Self and encounter the other.

There isn’t a set agenda or a timetable of teaching points for each week but, after the creation of a shared working agreement, we will, as Rogers put it: “…trust the group, given a reasonably facilitating climate, to develop its own potential and the potential of its members.”

The feedback has encouraged us to plan to offer two more of these courses in September (days to be confirmed).

Who?

These are open to anyone who has already done - or is doing - a COSCA Counselling Skills Certificate and/or anyone currently on a Counselling Diploma course.

If you haven’t done the COSCA Certificate but find yourself interested and you have experience in group work, please do get in touch with us.

There will be a maximum of 8 people in the group and a facilitator.

Where?

We will once again run the two groups at different venues across Edinburgh.

Cost?

£150 for the six-week block

You will receive a Flourish CPD certificate at the end of the course.

You can register your interest in a September place by filling out the Contact Us form.

Places on our current groups filled up quickly so do let us know if you’d like your name to be added to our waiting list.

Flourish’s CPD courses are run independently by us and are not done under the COSCA name.
